English Oak Gnome table and set of chairs, so called due to each piece having a gnome carved into it.
Thomas Whittaker lived all his life in Yorkshire near Whitby. He was initially a joiner for “mouseman” furniture in Kilburn. Thomas left to set up on his own and his trademark was to carve a little gnome into every piece of furniture he made.
The furniture is made only from English oak.
